Merino wool, also known as Merino wool. From Merino fine wool sheep, it is the finest wool breed except cashmere. According to its fineness, it can be divided into four quality branches:
(1) Ultrafine merino, 70 or more, with average fiber diameter less than 19.5 microns and fineness only one tenth of the hair
(2) Fine wool, 70~66 in quality, with an average diameter of 18-20 microns;
(3) Medium wool, 66~64 quality fibers, average diameter 20-22 microns;
(4) Coarse wool, 64~60 pieces in quality, with an average diameter of 23-25 microns. The higher the count, the softer and more delicate the wool, the better the warmth retention without pricking the skin. Different origins and different quality. Australian merino wool has the best quality. At present, about 40% of the world's merino comes from Australia. The second is from New Zealand, and the second is from South America. It is also introduced and cultivated in China, but its quality is poor due to the water and soil relationship. Merino wool is cheap and expensive. Compared with ordinary wool sweaters, they are much cheaper. However, the handle and warmth retention of wool are slightly worse than that of Merino.
